FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What style of yoga is taught?
YogYam teaches classical Hatha yoga and the original Ashtanga yoga of Sage Patanjali (8 Limbs). These timeless practices are over 5,000 years old and still going strong. Such is the beauty of yoga!
Do I need to have yoga experience?
While one should have at least attended some yoga classes in the past, there is no prerequisite for yoga teacher training. The knowledge and skills you will receive will give each who takes the program a solid foundation on which to start or continue along their yoga path.
What if I don't want to become a teacher?
The training is a most rewarding personal development program, and many sign up for this reason alone. If you wish to pursue teaching, you have the added benefit of receiving the skills needed to conduct a yoga practice for others.
I have a conflict with some of the dates. Can I still take the program?
It may be possible to arrange make-up time for rare instances of missing a session. Please contact us to see if/when time missed could be made up.
Do you have a payment plan?
Yes. After paying your initial $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot in the program, a monthly plan can be arranged from Oct - June each session.
Refund Policy
The initial deposit required to reserve your spot is non-refundable. As well, the monthly payment set up to pay for each monthly session taken is also non-refundable.
Is this a Registered school with Yoga Alliance?
Yes, it is a RYS-200 school registered with Yoga Alliance (U.S.) and is also registered with the Canadian Yoga Alliance. YogYam trainees who complete their training will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance (U.S.) as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®s) or the Canadian Yoga Alliance as a CYA- RYT200.
Yoga Alliance does not certify teachers or accredit schools. Yoga Alliance’s credentialing system is a Registry, not to be confused with other types of credentialing systems (such as certifications, accreditations, licensure, etc.). Source: www.yogaalliance.org.
